CSAM MathLab

CSAM MathLabStudents at Montclair State University have the option of choosing the way they take their basic skills math course. They may choose a traditional classroom setting, a mix of classroom and lab or a self-paced lab. The second two options occur in the CSAM MathLab.

The CSAM MathLab offers a comprehensive mathematics program in a computer lab environment supplemented with classroom instruction. For those students wishing to complete the course early, a self-paced course is also available. Under the direction of Montclair State alumna Patricia J. D'Emidio, M.A., the CSAM MathLab is a computerized course that provides assessment, teaching tools, problem sets, and a detailed course outline, all of which ensure students' success. Teaching Assistants are always on hand to answer questions and provide detailed explanations to students.

Students who choose the CSAM MathLab can generally find a section that fits into their schedule (we offer anywhere from 12 to 30 sections each semester). The program is web-based, so students may work and complete homework assignments from any PC or Mac. In addition to their scheduled hours, students are encouraged to “drop-in” at any time the lab is open.
