Dr. Dibs Sarkar came to Montclair State in Fall 2008 to serve as the new director of the Environmental Management doctoral program. Dr. Sarkar, a professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Studies has an extensive publication record (250+ total publications including 2 books and 90+ journal articles and book chapters) and grant funding record ($4 millions+) plus a deep background in creating interdisciplinary environmental programs in a similar urban university in the University of Texas system. Dr. Sarkar has supervised 6 Ph.D. dissertations, 12 M.S. thesis, and 11 post-doctoral fellows in his 11 years post-doctoral academic tenure. He is one of the principals of SIROM Scientific Solutions, LLC, a Montclair State incubator company, an environmental R&D focused on green technology.
