The Design and Evaluation of a Training Program in Waste Oil Recycling for Biodiesel Fuel Creation for Members of the New Jersey Youth Corps

 

Synergistic Activities

  • NY/NJ Harbor Estuary Mini-grant Program – funded a 9-month education and outreach campaign for Newark elementary school students performed by members of NJ Youth Corps of Newark, NJ.
  • Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership – funded equipment and operations costs for a 12-month education and stream-monitoring program for members of NJ Youth Corps of Newark, NJ.
  • Worksite Coordinator and grant writer for Environmental community service worksites, NJ Youth Corps of Newark, NJ (2004-2007).
  • AmeriCorps member, NJ Department of Environmental Protection’s Watershed Ambassador Program of watershed outreach and fieldwork (2002-2003).
  • Rivendell Scholarship Recipient and participant in Rocky Mountain Outdoor Educator course, National Outdoor Leadership School , Lander, WY, June 2005.
  • Intern, Rancho Mastatal environmental learning and sustainable living center, La Cangreja, Costa Rica (Summer 2006).
  • Event co-coordinator, Annual Passaic Paddle Canoe Relay Race sponsored by the Lower Passaic and Saddle River Alliance (2005-2006).
  • Member of Education and Outreach Committee of Lower Passaic and Saddle River Alliance (2004-present).
  • Member of NY/NJ Harbor Estuary Program Citizens Advisory Committee (2005-2006).
