ANTARCTIC GEOSCIENCE

Montclair State University has a growing Antarctic Geocience research program. Besides these pages on Cenozoic Antarctic sedimentology and stratigraphy (by Dr. Sandra Passchier), the department is also active in Antarctic marine science and paleomagnetism (Dr. Stefanie Brachfeld). Current research includes participation in the Antarctic Drilling Program (ANDRILL). The department has fully equipped sedimentology, paleomagnetism, inorganic/organic geochemistry and electron microscope laboratory facilities. Please contact us for further information on undergraduate and graduate research opportunities.
