Course
Description:
This course covers basic concepts in igneous and metamorphic
petrology. Emphasis is placed on the origin, occurrence, and tectonic
interpretation of commmon igneous and metamorphic rocks. Labs and
homework will focus on the application and interpretation of petrographic
and chemical data to solve petrologic problems. This is a 4-credit lab
science course designed for undergraduate majors and graduate students. |
