Course Description: 
This course involves the study of catastrophic natural phenomena such as volcanic activity, earthquakes, floods, landslides, hurricanes, and tornadoes.  Major emphasis is given to understanding the physical/geological processes involved and means of predicting, preventing and minimizing the impact on humans.  This is a 3-credit 1983 GER non-lab science course designed for undergraduate non-majors.
