Graduate Assistantship with Passaic River Institute of Montclair State University
You are invited to apply for a graduate research assistantship to study the effect of urbanization on stream baseflow in New Jersey , working with Dr. Kirk Barrett, Director of the Passaic River Institute (www.csam.montclair.edu/pri) of Montclair State University (MSU), Montclair NJ, a cosmopolitan suburb ~15 miles from Manhattan and an hour drive from both the Appalachian Trail and the New Jersey shore. The assistantship includes a stipend and one year's tuition (fall, spring, summer) - a total value approaching $34,000, beginning Fall 2006. The position requires full time enrollment (at least 9 credits per semester) in MSU's Graduate School . Montclair State offers a doctoral degree in environmental management (selection of applicants begins Feb 15) and masters' degrees in environmental studies, geoscience and aquatic and coastal sciences (nonspecific deadlines).
